Before any tuition starts
Confirm the person you meet matches the shared profile and independently assess teaching suitability.
For home tuition, a parent/guardian or responsible adult should be present for initial meetings and should set communication boundaries.
Agree fees and demo/trial terms in writing. Never share OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs, passwords or banking credentials.
Share only the minimum proof required. Do not hand over original documents or unrelated sensitive information.
End any interaction that feels unsafe or misleading. Preserve relevant messages/records, contact HomeTutorPoint, and use appropriate local authorities for emergencies.

✅ Verification and due diligence
HomeTutorPoint performs an initial profile and document-verification process from its side using the information made available by the tutor. This verification supports safer matching, but it should not be treated as a guarantee of future conduct, teaching quality or the continuing validity of any document.
Independent proof exchange
If a tutor and parent/guardian want to exchange or re-check identity, qualification, address or any other proof, they may do so directly through mutual coordination and consent. Share only the minimum necessary information, hide sensitive numbers where practical, and never exchange OTPs, passwords, banking credentials or original documents.
- Parents/guardians should independently review suitability before confirming classes.
- Tutors should also verify the guardian, address and tuition requirement before visiting.
- Both parties should keep agreed fees, timings, demo terms and communication boundaries in writing.
- Final selection and the private tuition arrangement remain a mutual decision of the tutor and parent/guardian.
🪪 POI verification after joining / service activation
POI document upload is optional while submitting the registration or enquiry form. If a tutor skips optional upload, POI verification must be completed after joining/activation when requested. For parents/students, verification may be required after matching/service activation where needed for safety. The request may be sent through HomeTutorPoint’s official WhatsApp or email channel.

- A responsible adult should be present during initial home meetings and demo classes.
- Use a common, well-lit area for tuition whenever possible.
- Do not leave young children alone with a new tutor until trust is established.
- Discuss boundaries, timings, communication methods and payment terms clearly.
- Report inappropriate behaviour, pressure, threats or repeated boundary violations immediately.
👨🏫 Tutor safety
- Confirm the student address, contact person and tuition expectations before travelling.
- Share visit details with a trusted person for first meetings.
- Do not surrender original documents or pay unverified placement charges.
- Leave immediately if the environment feels unsafe, abusive or misleading.
- Keep communication professional and related to learning.
💻 Online class safety
- Use recognised meeting platforms and protected links.
- Avoid recording minors without informed parent consent.
- Keep cameras, chat and file sharing appropriate to the lesson.
- Never request passwords, OTPs, banking details or private photographs.
💳 Payments and fraud prevention
- Confirm fees, schedule, trial/demo terms and cancellation expectations in writing.
- Never share card PINs, UPI PINs, passwords or OTPs.
- Do not make payments to unknown people claiming guaranteed tutor placement.
- Keep receipts or payment screenshots for your records.

📜 Platform role and responsibility
HomeTutorPoint is a tutor-discovery and matching platform. We facilitate introductions and may conduct an initial profile/document check using submitted information. The tutor and parent/guardian independently decide whether to exchange additional proof, begin classes, agree fees or continue the engagement.
After the parties enter a direct or private arrangement, HomeTutorPoint is not responsible for claims arising from independently exchanged documents, private payments, personal conduct, loss, damage, disputes or commitments made outside the platform, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded. Users should retain records and immediately report any suspicious or unsafe conduct.

Profile quality
Tutor Profile Quality & Verification
Tutor registrations collect location, classes, subjects, boards, teaching experience, language, availability, teaching mode and travel coverage to improve matching quality. Identity and qualification readiness selected in the form does not itself mean the tutor is verified. Verification is completed separately after document review.

Before the first home-tuition class
1. Match the profile
Confirm the tutor’s name and the profile details shared with you. Ask for appropriate identity confirmation where needed; do not retain unnecessary document copies.
2. Keep an adult present
For minors, a parent/guardian or responsible adult should be available during the first meeting and should know the regular class schedule.
3. Agree before paying
Clarify fee amount, payment frequency, demo/first-class terms, cancellations and refunds if applicable. Avoid large unexplained advance payments.
4. Protect personal data
Never share OTPs, passwords, card PINs or unrelated banking information. Share only the address/contact details necessary for the agreed tuition arrangement.
